Cost
I provide a free 15-minute consult to allow the client to decide whether we are a right fit or not. All sessions are 55 minutes long and cost $150. The number of sessions needed vary widely due to the needs and preferences of the client.
SELF-PAY: I accept cash, check or credit card; payment is due upon receipt of service.
IN-NETWORK INSURANCE: I am in-network with most Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna insurance plans, including the NC State Health Plan.
OUT OF NETWORK: You may be able to request reimbursement from your health insurance for an out-of-network provider. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide superbills so you can make claims.
If you have questions or concerns about the cost and/or length of time, let me know; we can discuss these in our initial consult.
The No Surprises Act (Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act)
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
